Day Before the Event:
For this pick-up from Panera, we actually had 4 of us available today. Ashlei, her mom, Abigail, and our volunteer Shayla all met up at Panera for the donations. As we waited we actually updated on some events we are looking forward to this month and for September. We are very thankful that Panera was able to give us 2 big boxes of bread and 4 small boxes of sweet treats. Once everything was packed we split the donations so that we could go to both shelters.
Day of the Shelter Run:
For this morning, Abigail was in charge of taking the donated food to the South Park Inn. While Ashlei was accompanied by her mom while taking her share to the Saint Elizabeth’s House and Friendship Center. They were all really nice and Ashlei was able to talk to them for a bit and fill out their donation form before they had to leave.
Overall it was a great drop-off and we look forward to the events we have planned for this month. More details to follow!
